About the Role

Based in India, we are looking for a Sr. Business System Analyst, Compensation with demonstrated HRIS ownership to assist with strategic initiatives across our organization. Experience with Workday is preferable for this role. You will work cross-functionally to achieve business goals through system configuration, testing and documentation. As a Sr. Business System Analyst, Compensation you will help deliver solutions to support business strategy, and assist in the implementation, maintenance and enhancement of people technology systems. 

You're excited about this opportunity because...

  • Configure and maintain Workday Compensation module elements, including compensation packages, grades, grade profiles, matrices, eligibility rules, and compensation review/merit cycles
  • Partner with Total Rewards to translate compensation strategy (base pay, bonus, equity, allowances) into scalable Workday configuration
  • Lead annual and off-cycle compensation events (merit, bonus, and stock cycles) end-to-end, including planning, testing, mass data loads via Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), and validation
  • Build and maintain compensation grades, guidelines, and eligibility rules to support pay equity and market-competitive pay decisions
  • Partner with Payroll and Finance to ensure accurate downstream processing of compensation changes
  • Provide global production analysis and support (break/fix analysis, reporting, business process administration, etc.) for Compensation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve compensation-related issues, working cross-functionally with HRBPs and Payroll
  • Manage Workday releases (bi-annual updates) by reviewing new compensation features, assessing impact, and coordinating regression testing
  • Rigorously document compensation configuration and business processes to build operational excellence
  • Ensure data integrity across compensation data, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify improvement opportunities
  • Train end-users and peers on compensation processes and self-service functionality as needed
  • Maintain the security groups and access policies tied to compensation data as a light, supporting part of the role

  • You have 5+ years of work experience in Workday Compensation maintenance/configuration
  • Proven experience leading full compensation review cycles (merit, bonus, stock) within Workday
  • You are passionate about system optimization and employee experience
  • You are a strong business thinker, able to use ‘first principles’ to solve challenging business problems at their root level
  • You are data-driven, able to analyze data with strong attention to detail and accuracy, and passionate about telling the story behind the data hence turning the data into configuration
  • You are a self-motivated, rapid learner, excited about further developing your analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Basic working knowledge of Workday security concepts (security groups, domain policies) as they relate to compensation data access
  • You are results-oriented, always evaluating whether our team’s activities are achieving the desired, measurable impact
  • You are an owner, always looking for opportunities to learn and better your work product
  • You are comfortable and thrive in a fast-paced, continually changing team-oriented environment and able to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • You have a BA/BS degree in quantitative or business fields, or equivalent work experience
  • You have an analytical mindset and a “People First” mentality with demonstrated ability to work through complex, ambiguous problems using data and creating configuration solutions based on that data
  • You have strong written/verbal communication
  • Workday certified in Compensation preferred
